May is International Civility Awareness Month. Not many are aware of this so I contacted the city of Ottawa and, after completing what I call the whereas, whereas document, May 17 has been proclaimed Civility Awareness Day. Here is the official proclamation.
In recognition of Civility Awareness Day I am compiling a list of things that boost civility in our society. It is designed to make people think of the state of civility in our world – awareness. From holding doors open for others to mud-free political ads.
Add your civility boosters as a comment to this blog and your name will be entered into a draw for a copy of The Power of Civility of which I am a co-author. That draw will be on Civility Awareness Day, May 17.
