We All Make Mistakes

Yes, we all make mistakes. Some are bigger than others. Some are funny. Some cause problems for others.

There isn’t any point in trying to hide our mistakes. You know it will be discovered. In a previous blog post I mentioned wearing mismatched shoes to teach a class. I’m reiterating the same conclusion here. Mistakes happen. It’s all in the recovery.

Acknowledge your mistake.

Apologize. Clean up the mess if you made one.

Move on.

Here’s the beautiful ceiling in Grand Central Station in New York City.

Beautiful night sky.

Beautiful night sky.

But, oops. Something isn’t right here. Can you see what it is?

The Vanderbilt Family initially wasn’t very impressed with the mistake but turned it into a positive. A little bit of a stretch maybe, but it makes great cocktail party conversation.

Yes, we all make mistakes. It’s all in the recovery.

p.s. Do you know what the small black rectangle is in the second ceiling photo?
